Bridging International was launched in 2013 as a portal for my consulting arenas where conflicts and crisis were addressed through discovery, consensus-building and collaboration. Some of my bridge-building projects extended beyond the US—hence “International.” Although I began in the faith sector, in the years since, I have become determined to apply myself to other sectors because similar imaginative gridlocks exist in many institutions, regardless of their creed or purpose.
As an enthusiast of historic breakthroughs, I am convinced that building bridges from each unfavorable “here” toward an idealized “there” is usually not accomplished with conventional linear thinking—through completing logical steps and observing progress. Due to the forces of globalization and the reach of mass media, the practices of thinking in systems and collaboration are required to mitigate increasing complexity and diversity. More than ever before, there is a need for resources and tools for facing systemic, as in recurring, troubles.
Bridging International will expand in order to explore audacious solutions to systemic challenges, whether in the corporate, public or spiritual sphere.
